Race Village: A fully set up race village with the Hot Box, exclusive Oxpecker garment shop, and a well-stocked bar.
Water Points: Well-stocked with homemade goodies, including our famous Oxpecker date balls.
Ablutions: Permanent ablutions with hot showers and flushing toilets.
Access: To Oxpecker fully set-up merchandise shop, Ready to sell.
Medical Support: Medics on the route and a registered doctor in the race village available at any time over the weekend.

CHOOSE YOUR RACE CATEGORY
At race pack collection, you’ll choose your race:
Lovebirds: Couples who have been dating for at least three months and are still together at the finish line. A smooch is required to prove this!
Family: Any relations—brothers, sisters, cousins, parent and child. No smooching here!
Ostrich: Runners who weigh over 100kg. You will be weighed at prize-giving to prove this, so make sure you eat well and drink lots of beer over the weekend!
Tannie: For all the moms out there! (A very competitive category!)
Gogo: For all the legendary grandmothers out there
Open: For the solo birds, the free-flyers and the racing eagles – this one is for you. No one will judge you for leaving the flock behind!
– Please note everyone will automatically be placed in the open category unless you choose a fun category.
– You can only choose one category. You cannot choose the Tannie category as well as the open category.
– in the lovebird and family category, you need to finish together as the combination of your time determines the winner.
-once you have selected your category, you cannot change it once the race has started.
Please note, the African Oxpecker is the only event that offers prize money.
